Hey friends! Back in 2008, right out of college, our founder Mindy kicked off Yaya Tea as a fun little side hustle in NYC’s Chinatown—with the whole family jumping in to help. She was all about that real, fresh vibe: premium tea leaves brewed daily (no powdery shortcuts here), exploding with popping boba and jellies that make every sip a party, plus those crave-worthy handmade onigiri rice balls crafted fresh to order, wrapped in crispy nori.

As a women-owned, family-run spot, we’ve grown into your go-to cozy hangouts across Chinatown, Little Italy, Gramercy, Elmhurst, Brooklyn, and beyond.
